Well the game didn't start well for the Marlies.
They fell behind 2-0 after the first period.
They did get back in the game 5:44 into the second period when Ryan Hamilton found the net to make it 2-1 Americans.
Rochester went back up by 2 goals 11:23 into the period when Jeff Taffe put the biscuit in the basket.
With the 1:49 left in the period, the Marlies came back again to pull within one, 3-2 when Kyle Calder scored.
In the third period, the Marlies finally got the equalizer with 8:57 to go in regulation time when Andre Deveaux tied it up.
It stay that way the rest of regulation and overtime.
This game was decided in a shootout.
Greg Scott of the Marlies scored the lone goal in the shootout giving the Marlies a hard earned victory.
