The Devils got back on the winning track tonight at the Prudential Center affectionately known as "The Rock". The game was a good competitive one.
It was tied at 2 until newly acquired Ilya Kovalchuk lit the lamp with 11:36 left in the 3rd period. That proved to be the game winner and was his first goal as a Devil and 32nd of the season. It stood up as the Devils added a power play goal by Zach Parise with 6:52 left. Then With 41.2 seconds remaining, Jamie Langenbrunner capped the scoring with an empty net goal.
