St. John's deck the Cards, 74-55!

On the night when they celebrated their 25th anniversary of the 1985 Final Four team, the current team played like the one from 1985. They started the game by scoring the first 12 points and they never looked back.

The Cardinals got their first basket of the game with 13:15 left in the half to get on the scoreboard. They got within 6 early in the second half then the Red Storm scored the next 14 points to put this one away for good.

As for the halftime cermony, it was nice but disappointing. It was great to see some of the players from the 1985 team. Willie Glass, Shelton Jones, Ron Stewart and Bill Wennington were there. But for whatever reason, the three big stars Walter Berry, Mark Jackson & Chris Mullin were no shows.I was looking forward to seeing them. They did have a video tribute which was nice.
